Here is an interesting paper that discusses CAROTID ARTERY INJURY after a crash and raises the clinical question if we should do angiograms after trauma. This is a tough clinical decision to make as we want to start with a more conservative approach, yet trauma such as crashes, have shown to disrupt the vessels of the neck.
