Here is a study showing beautiful illustrations of the upper cervical spine and how some of the muscles have a bridge of "soft tissue" to the dura mater of the spinal cord. Car crashes are shown to change mechanics and movement increasing tension and changing stability of the cervical spine. What happens when the upper cervical spine changes it stability and structure due to abnormal spinal mechanics?? Muscle tightness pulling on the dura causing headaches?? As a doctor make sure you are fully evaluation your patient to get a better clinical picture as to WHY they have pain, headaches, etc . . .
