Here is a great paper and video breakdown where the authors looked at damage to the anterior longitudinal ligament (ALL) as well as the ligamentum flavum (LF) and how that can affect spinal stability. They also discussed how spinal instability can disrupt nerves and other tissue. The authors also looked at how much force it can take to disrupt these ligaments. What the authors also did was discuss particular ligaments, as opposed to just saying "soft-tissue". If you have diagnosed instability or "AOMSI", yet you are not discussing which ligaments are potentially damaged, what that injury . . .
