Here is a paper about axial neck pain. This can present like "sclerotogenous pain" from facets and ligaments and can even be irritated with a subluxation and loss of curve. This paper discusses how this pain decreases patients "quality of life". I feel if we improve the curve and movement we can minimize this discomfort by increasing the patients curve and function and improve the patients quality of life. The authors did a surgery that caused a DECREASE LORDOSIS and that correlated with pain!
