Here is a study that looked at woman with chronic neck pain from WAD (whiplash associated disorders) compared to woman who either had acute neck pain or no pain. A total of 120 people. What they found was a clinical significant difference in the mid cervical spine. I have mentioned in other posts validated by studies how abnormal mechanics can lead to inflammation and pain.
