Here is a study that shows how the neck makes a "s" shaped curve during a rear end impact.
Many times we have patients that come in after a crash and have a abnormal cervical spine shape. This abnormal curve may be directly related to the impact. I have posted many studies on this site for Premium Members discussing the health consequences with a kyphotic neck. One reason I firmly believe we need to address and improve this pathology.
