Loss of Curve, Pain, and Fighter Pilots

Here is a study that examined fighter pilots with and without neck pain. These groups were similar in age, and conditioning. What the authors found was having a loss of the cervical curve was the difference and those in pain had kyphotic necks. This is important as it validates what we see in our practices and why abnormal structure needs to be evaluated and corrected for better patient outcomes and increased quality of life.
