Here is a study where the authors did fusion surgery and compared fusion with lordosis or without and compared degeneration at follow up. Many articles I discuss at Professionally Integrated discuss how a loss of the curve can do many bad things, one being increased DDD. What I find interesting about this paper is getting these patients BEFORE becoming asymptomatic, work on the cervical curve, and PREVENT deterioration and surgery.
