Here is a study correlating neck injuries from car crashes and jaw pain and dysfunction. Remember, every part of the body was involved in the crash and every aspect may get injured. Not only that, but this study looks at how a injured neck can cause increased pain and dysfunction at the TMJ. Clinically, this is imprtant to understand as our treatment can greatly impact the jaw in a positive manner.
